The Museum of Paestum tells the story of the city of temples.
How was the community that made the monuments that survive to this day actually organised? What cults and rituals took place around the temples? What do we know of the daily lives of men, women and children? And how did life in the area around the temples of Paestum change over the centuries from antiquity to medieval times and up to the modern era?
We don’t have all the answers: research and excavations at Paestum are still continuing…
