Transparent administration

Italian Legislative Decree 14.3.2013, no. 33 regulates the obligations on advertising, transparency and dissemination of information by the Public Administration.

The provisions, in force since 20 April 2013, include 53 articles and one annex. Art. 1 defines the principles of transparency, meant as total accessibility to information concerning the organisation and the activity of public administrations. The purpose is to promote widespread forms of control on the pursuit of the institutional functions and on the use of public resources, to safeguard individual and collective freedoms, as well as the civil, political and social rights, integrating the right to good administration and contributing to achieving an open administration, at the service of citizens.
