How to reach us

The Archaeological Park of Paestum and Velia will be closed until further notice.

We are in Paestum, in the province of Salerno, in Via Magna Grecia 919, Municipality of Capaccio Paestum.For more info contact us.
Reaching us is very simple: coming out from the train station, Paestum stop, you enter in the ancient city.
A pleasant walk of 15 minutes, passing through porta Sirena, will arrive to the Museum and the archaeological area.
Alternatively: discover the path along the walls (30 min).
For those who prefer a car, the highway is 20 km away

by car:
A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria highway: from the north exit at Battipaglia; from the south exit at Eboli
From the SS 18 exit at Capaccio Scalo and reach via Laura di Paestum (23 km from the Battipaglia highway exit and 20 km from the Eboli highway exit)

In Naples, the airport and the port are connected to the central railway station with the Alibus service: see timetable

Archaeological Area of Velia

On the train:
Take a regional train from the Central Station of Piazza Garibaldi towards Ascea. The station is 2.5 kilometers away. After about two hours on the train, you will need to take a bus or continue on foot for 30 minutes.


By car:

Take the A3 highway and continue until the Battipaglia exit. Continue on SS Tirrena inferiore 18 until you reach the Museum. The travel time is approximately 2 hours.
